Some Traders are just plain lazy…..I say this today, coming off a marathon programming session with some of my traders that are Programmers who were trying to create some simple trading mechanics models work. So, just as we get it done and working like we want it too, a second list of requests come in that are just plain laziness on the part of this core groups desire to have all but the dishes done for them.
Speaking of “Fancy Trading Software” I heard across the board that TradeStation crashed today, and they completely cut off their entire trading base. Poor form TradeStation… I have always had my issues with them, but this is the icing on the cake. I heard they went as far as to take their customer support numbers off their website. WOW….. I thought IB was bad in the customers support arena, I guess they have some competition in that space now.
We do this for the smiles and satisfaction of knowing that we are killing it with these little time saving tools, but the piling on is just about to kill us!! Someday - sooner than later - some of the things that we teach to do manually in class will be apart of one or another of these fancy trading software packages, but until then we’ll keep refining and giving back to the trader community at large for the socially redeeming value of it.

We have set the dates for our next mega alumni events. November 7th in Dallas, and November 14th in Houston. Dr. Alexander Elder is our anticipated headliner, and we have some even bigger names, but more to follow as we get this solidified. This time we are going to do break-out sessions, and rotate the rooms so you can pick your poison. Hurry and call to get your seat.
Last time I think I may have hit my threshold of pain in taking on all the costs of these events that are now topping 500 folks.
